The Beretta 92F is a semi-automatic pistol that is still manufactured by Beretta since the 1990's and has been the best standard issued pistol of many members of the United States Military since that time.

History[]

By the early 1990's, NATO was in search for a pistol that was chambered in a 9x19mm Parabellum and a pistol to replace the long serving Colt M1911 as their main sidearm. Beretta came out on top of Colt, Smith & Wesson; even Walther and Heckler & Koch. The Beretta 92F also went up against Steyr as well and as a result, the Beretta was kept.

Present Day[]

Many pistols like the Colt M1911, the Walther P99 and other pistols are used by soldiers of the military and so is the Beretta 92F.
